Preparing your files

  • PDF in CMYK with 3 mm bleed on every side.
  • Images at 300 dpi or more at 100% size.
  • Fonts embedded or converted to outlines.
  • Keep key content at least 5 mm from the trim; saddle-stitched page counts must be divisible by 4.

How long does catalogue printing take?

It depends on the run size, page count and binding. We confirm the exact production date together with the quote, within 1 business day of your enquiry. If you are working to a tight deadline, say so straight away. Express production is available for an extra fee.

Which paper should I choose for a product catalogue?

For most catalogues we recommend matt or gloss coated paper, which reproduces photos and colours well. A heavier laminated cover adds durability. Tell us how the catalogue will be used and we will suggest the best combination.

Can you design or lay out the catalogue?

Yes. Layout and prepress are available as an additional service. We can also fix files that are not quite print-ready yet.

What file format should I send?

Ideally a PDF with 3 mm bleed, in CMYK, with images at 300 dpi. If your files are in a different format, send them anyway. We check everything before printing and tell you if anything needs fixing.
